Dr. Tanvir Ahmed
Assistant Professor
Dr. Tanvir Ahmed is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), IUT. He completed his PhD from the University of Western Australia (UWA), Perth, Australia in March 2022. He also served as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Western Australia (UWA) from November 2021 to November 2022. Dr. Ahmed served as a lecturer in the Department of CEE, IUT from December 2012 to July 2018. He completed his MSc in Civil Engineering and BSc in Civil Engineering from IUT in years 2016 and 2012, respectively. He secured the second position in his class during his BSc. Dr. Ahmed authored/ co-authored several peer reviewed journal articles and conference papers. He served as a reviewer for different international journals such as, Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering (ASCE), Construction and Building Materials, International Journal of Construction Management. Dr. Ahmed also co-supervised two Undergraduate projects at IUT and five Masters projects at UWA.
