Mohammad Zobair Ibne Bashar is currently perusing his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (with a specialization in Transportation Engineering) at the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. He is also working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same university and his research focuses mainly on improving the use of pavement surface treatments (e.g., chip seal, microsurfacing and ultrathin overlay) to asphalt pavement in Louisiana. Prior to that, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Dhaka, Bangladesh for two years. Zobair received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from IUT in 2014. He was also awarded IUT Gold Medal for academic excellence in his undergraduate studies.

Improving the Use of Pavement Surface Treatments to Asphalt Pavement in Louisiana (2017-Present):
The main objective is to quantify the performance and benefits of using crack sealing and other impermeable surface treatments (e.g., chip seal, microsurfacing and ultrathin overlay) under various groundwater table conditions and to develop a user guideline for applying impermeable surface treatments to Louisiana highways.
Reliability Analysis of Urban Rainwater Harvesting Systems (2014-2016):
The primary goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive software to simulate the reliability and economic parameters of a rainwater harvesting system in Dhaka city.
